Course Aims

This course is intended to enhance the underpinning knowledge of holders of Level 1 Certification, to enable them to correctly induce the required Stress into existing and newly installed C. W. R.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course the delegates will: -

  • Be able to undertake a preliminary Site Survey
  • Have a clear understanding of pulling Parameter Limitations.
  • Be able to demonstrate an underpinning knowledge of the Re-Stressing of existing C.W.R.
  • Be able to demonstrate an underpinning knowledge of the Stressing of C.W.R. that is newly laid, in curves, through tunnels and over longitudinal timbers (way beams)
  • Course Duration

    Two days, inclusive of written assessment.

    Pre-requisites

    Delegates attending this course must hold a Level 1 Certificate of Competency or have attended a course for Level 1 in conjunction with this course.

    Personal Protective Equipment

    Personal Protective Equipment is not required on this course.

    Certification

    A Certificate of Technical Competency Level 2 will be awarded upon successful completion of an underpinning knowledge assessment
