Course Aims

This course is intended to enhance the underpinning knowledge of holders of Level 1 Certification, to enable them to correctly induce the required Stress into existing and newly installed C. W. R.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course the delegates will: -

·         Be able to undertake a preliminary Site Survey

·         Have a clear understanding of pulling Parameter Limitations.

·         Be able to demonstrate an underpinning knowledge of the Re-Stressing of existing C.W.R.

·         Be able to demonstrate an underpinning knowledge of the Stressing of C.W.R. that is newly laid, in curves, through tunnels and over longitudinal timbers (way beams)

Course Duration

Two days, inclusive of written assessment.

Pre-requisites

Delegates attending this course must hold a Level 1 Certificate of Competency or have attended a course for Level 1 in conjunction with this course.

Personal Protective Equipment

Personal Protective Equipment is not required on this course.

Certification

A Certificate of Technical Competency Level 2 will be awarded upon successful completion of an underpinning knowledge assessment.
