NEbosh - NATIONAL general certificate
Course Aims
The NEBOSH Certificate
is the leading foundation course for those who need to implement
modern risk management practices and attain a nationally recognised
health and safety qualification. In addition, it is the pre-requisite
for attendance on the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety
and Health.
This NEBOSH Certificate course is intended to provide delegates with
an excellent grounding in health and safety legislation, hazard
recognition, practical risk control and good risk management
practices.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this
course the delegates will: -

Develop and review company safety policy and recommend
improvements
·
Carry out simple risk assessments in the workplace
·
Advise on risk control and accident prevention measures
·
Carry out safety inspections and the monitoring of
workplace safety standards
·
Advise staff and colleagues on safe practices and
procedures
·
Understand the requirements of some common health and
safety laws
Course Duration
Ten Days training and
Two Days Assessment.
Pre-requisites
There are no particular
educational or competence pre-requisites for the course. However, the
following factors are important: -

Sound literacy skills.
Personal Protective Equipment
No PPE will be required
for this course.
Certification
NEBOSH
National General Certificate will be awarded to the delegate on
successful completion of the examinations.
