INTRODUCTION TO HAND HELD PORTABLE PLANT

COURSE AIMS

This course is intended to provide delegates with a full understanding of the Rules and Regulations relating to the hand held portable plant and the method of carrying out these duties in a safe and efficient manner.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course the delegates will: -
• Understand fully the responsibilities relating to the use of Hand Held Portable Plant
• Understand the Operators role within that system
• Be fully aware of the types of equipment and its purposes
• Understand fully the safety requirements included in the Regulations
• Be aware of and recognize the affects of Hand Arm Vibration
• Know how to safely check plant prior to use and the action necessary with faulty equipment
• Know the requirements when on Network Rail Infrastructure.

COURSE DURATION

Two hours and forty five minutes.

PRE-REQUISITES

Ideally delegates will hold a valid Personal Track Safety Certificate.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Not required for this course..

CERTIFICATION

Certification will be awarded to the delegate upon successful completion of an underpinning knowledge theory assessment.
