Stressing of Continuous Welded Rail
Level 1
This course in intended to provide you with the underpinning knowledge to be able to restore a stress.
Level 2
This course is intended to enhance the underpinning knowledge of holder of Level 1 Certification, to enable them to correctly induce the required Stress into existing and newly installed C.W.R. – Plain Line. Delegates attending this course must hold a Level 1 Certificate or have attended a course for Level 1 in conjunction with this course.
Level 3
This course is designed to expand the knowledge and skills of existing holders of Level 2 Competency Certification, to enable them to undertake the Stressing of all types of suitable Switch and Crossings. Delegates attending this course must be holders of a valid Level 1 and Level 2 Certificate of Competence and have a comprehensive knowledge of Switch and Crossing construction.
Re-certification
This course is intended to re-affirm the responsibilities of certificate holders and review updates to relevant Network Rail Company Specifications. Delegates attending must hold a valid competency certificate at the appropriate level or a certificate that has expired not more than eight weeks from the date of the course.
