Introduction to Hand Held Portable Plant

Course Aims

This course is intended to provide delegates with a full understanding of the Rules and Regulations relating to the hand held portable plant and the method of carrying out these duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course the delegates will: -

Understand fully the responsibilities relating to the use of Hand Held Portable Plant

Understand the Operators role within that system

Be fully aware of the types of equipment and its purposes

Understand fully the safety requirements included in the Regulations

Be aware of and recognize the affects of Hand Arm Vibration

Know how to safely check plant prior to use and the action necessary with faulty equipment

Know the requirements when on Network Rail Infrastructure

Course Duration

Two hours and forty five minutes.

Pre-requisites

Ideally delegates will hold a valid Personal Track Safety Certificate.

Personal Protective Equipment

Not required for this course.

Certification

Certification will be awarded to the delegate upon successful completion of an underpinning knowledge theory assessment.
