Track Quality 1 – Effective Use of Geometry Data

A two day course providing Managers, Engineers, Track Technicians and Senior Supervisors with engineering knowledge and skill to more efficiently obtain the required levels of track geometry with on-track machine resources.

Track Quality 2 – Effective Use of on Track Machines

A two day course providing Managers, Engineers, Track Technicians and Senior Supervisors with engineering knowledge and skill to more efficiently obtain the required standard of track geometry with on-track machine resources.

Test and Inspection Plan

A one day course providing delegates with a clear understanding of how to complete and use a Test and Inspection Plan for track re-ballasting or formation renewal works.

Environmental Awareness

A one day course providing delegates with a basic understanding of environmental awareness on Permanent Way works.

Site Planning of Track Renewals

A three day course intending to develop the knowldge and decision making skills that will enable the delegate to make the best use of their resources, including time required to complete a track renewals item.

Critical Rail Temperature (CRT) Management

A two day course, including Stressing of CWR appreciation, which is intented to provide delegates with a clear understanding of the management of sites that have a risk of track buckles.

Laser Control of Renewals Work

A two day course intending to provide delegates with a clear understanding of how Beacon Lasers are used to monitor and control machinery used in Track Renewals.

Asset Management Planning

A one day course intending to provide delegates with the skills and understanding of the use of Asset Management Plans (AMP).

Tamping for Track Quality

A three day course, intended to provide Technical, Managerial and Supervisory staff with the skills and knowledge to obtain the required levels of track quality with the tamping resources by the skilful use of control systems and software available.

An eight day course consisting of two four day modules. This course has been specifically designed to provide inexperienced/junior technical staff with an in depth overview of both maintenance and renewal of the permanent way.
