Personal Track Safety and DC Conductor Rail – Re-certification

Course Aims

This course is intended to provide a delegate with a re-assessment in the understanding of working near or adjacent to DC Conductor Rails.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course the delegates will be: –

  • Fully conversant with requirements of the relevant parts of the Network Rail Track Safety Handbook and all relevant local instructions relating to working near or adjacent to DC Conductor Rails,

Course Duration

One Day, including the assessment process.

Pre-requisites

Delegates MUST be in possession of: –

  • Valid Sentinel Card
  • Minimum level of medical fitness required = Level 4
  • P.T.S. Handbook (current issue)
  • Completed P.T.S. Logbook with a minimum of FOUR entries signed by your Line Manager

Personal Protective Equipment

This course is classroom based and, therefore no P.P.E. is required.

Certification

This competency is valid for 2 years and will be recorded on the Sentinel database.
