Martyn’s expertise in both the practical and technical application of permanent way engineering skills ensures he is fully qualified to deliver training courses from Basic Principles of Track Engineering team Leader as well as Stressing of CWR Levels 1-2-3, Raising and Removing Speed Restrictions and Track Patrolling. Martyn is qualified as an Assessor enabling him to provide the relevant assessment requirements for competence based courses.

Kelvin’s formal training qualifications and expertise in the practical application in the use of hand held and mechanised plant provides a wide ranging training skills portfolio, which includes Grinding Operative, Grinding Supervisory Manager, Facing Switch Inspection and Crossing Inspection. Kelvin is also qualified as an Assessor enabling him to provide the relevant assessment requirements for competence based courses and workplace assessments. Kelvin is qualified to deliver training for Non-Destructive Testing of Rail.

John is an experienced trainer in Track Safety and Auxiliary Operating Duty Skills with an in-depth knowledge of railway rules and regulations. His experience in permanent way, operational duties and signaller training provides a solid foundation for delivery of track safety courses, including Personal Track Safety, Controller of Site Safety, Individual Working Alone, Safe System of Work Planner and Auxiliary Operating Duties.

Responsible duties include Track Safety training, including SSOWP, Introduction to Permanent Way, Track Geometry and Raising and Removing Speed Restrictions, Track Patroller, S&C Maintenance and Track Maintenance

Sylvia specialises in Competence Management within the rail industry. Qualified as an Assessor and Verifier, she is able to offer training in assessor skills as well as providing consultancy on meeting legislation and industry requirements for Competence Management

Alan has had a career spanning over 40 years in the rail industry specialising in track maintenance and renewals, Health & Safety and Contract Management. His positions included Track Maintenance Engineer for Chilterns and Birmingham Loop, and HSQE Manager for H W Martin Fencing who specialised in all forms of railway fencing and vegetation clearance. Alan joined the company in 2015 to support the team in delivery of Permanent Way courses.

David has over 50 years experience in the rail industry within the Permanent Way discipline. David commenced his career as a Technical Officer, working through managerial positions to Engineering and Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager. David has also worked in both Australia and New Zealand, developing training programmes for permanent way supervisors and engineers. Since joining the Company in 2014 David has re-developed the Permanent Way Switch and Crossing Design course and Permanent Way Renewals/Maintenance course for engineers.

Paul has over 30 years experience in the rail industry within the Permanent Way discipline. Paul has worked in a wide range of permanent way production, supervisory and management positions. He is currently responsible for the delivery of Track skills courses and safety training courses, and the design and development of Track Engineering Training and assessment materials. He is a highly qualified Training Professional, Competence Assessor and Internal Verifier.

Trevor has over 50 years experience in rail starting his career as a BR Engineering Apprentice in 1962. Developing a career which resulted in him being the UK Technical Training Manager at Bombardier Transportation. He is currently registered to deliver Sentinel training in PTS and SSOWP. He also delivers Designated Person, Manual Handling, Fire awareness, Working at Height, Safety Critical Communication, Emergency First aid, 25Kv Depot Isolation, and Risk Assessment. Trevor is also registered to carryout Sentinel Assessments in COSS, IWA and SSOWP.

Andy is a highly experienced permanent way engineer in both track maintenance and renewals. His career has extended over a forty year period working for both British Rail and Carillion, achieving the position of Contract Engineering Manager. Since joining the company in 2009 Andy has extended his training portfolio to include Track Realignment by the “Hallade” Method, Track Geometry Supervisor, Stressing of CWR Levels 1-2-3 and a wide range of the Network Rail permanent way courses. Since early 2012 he has developed and now delivers an up-skilling programme for Tube Lines technical support teams.
Neil Litchfield

Neil has over twenty five years service within the rail industry, principally within electrification construction & maintenance. Responsible duties included Isolation planning and Possession Management, Linesman/Nominated Person, undertaking maintenance tasks / isolations for the issue of permits to work on 25kv A.C Electrified Lines. Neil is licensed with NSAR as a Track Safety and Electrification Trainer & Assessor. Neil has been involved within training and assessment for over twelve years and is registered to deliver OLEC 1, 2 & 3. He also delivers the Appreciation of OLE for both new entrants and managers.
