What is COSHH?
This course is designed to provide a basic awareness of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002.

Having a knowledge of the COSHH Regulations is useful in most work situations, but especially so given the nature of the construction workplace. It is essential that those working in construction have an understanding of the safe handling and storage requirements of various COSHH rated substances that they may come into contact during the course of their daily work activities.

The course modules include:

• What the COSHH Regulations apply to
• Implications of COSHH in the workplace
• Good practice for working in accordance with the COSHH Regulations.

The course also includes examples of COSHH Risk Assessments and the types of COSHH rated substances that may be used in the construction work environment.
